Week 3, Semester 2

 Hi,

We have now come to the end of week 3 of this second semester...how time flies! 

It was great to see some of you on Tuesday for Open Day...apologies if I didn't have much time to introduce myself.

For this long weekend, we have given the kids reading assignments but we have also sent the grammar books home for them to start reviewing for their quiz next week(please check printout for details).

Week 2, Semester 2

 Hi all,

Its been a productive first full week of classes as the kids have all now been going full on into the new semester. 

This week we worked on Lesson 17 for the Journeys stories, personal narratives in writing and we started on the difference between Present Simple and Present Progressive in grammar. It Science we continued on Heat and in math calculating and telling time.

B Class- Read Ch. 1 of Boxcar Children and do ONLINE QUIZ HERE.

Introduction and Welcome

Dear parents,

Welcome to the second semester! 💗

Introduction

Let me start with a brief intro of myself. My name is Mr. Enoc and I'll be your child's English teacher for this Spring Semester. I've been teaching Grade 4 here at Lih-Jen for about 6 years and I'm also a soccer coach. This will be my way of communicating with you and posting weekly updates, printouts etc.

Quick summary of this week:

It's been a hectic first week as we've had to organize things, get to know each other, and still keep up with our schoolwork. Despite the busy schedule, we've managed to stay on track and get acquainted.

In Science we jumped into Unit 19- HEAT and have started learning about time in math.

The homework this weekend is simply to finish Grammar U11 page 60 and Exercise F. If you haven't done so, please finish preparing all the supplies that haven't been prepared yet (1st page of comm. book), cover books, fill out parents' contact info and bring winter vacation HW.
